There is no free photograph or drawing of this vehicle's frame and support structure in existence and it cannot be turned into a free drawing of some sort; even if it were possible to somehow recreate this detailed set of computer aided design (CAD) drawing, it would not be free. This drawing is required to show the underlying structure of the vehicle, which is one of the more contested/argued aspects of the truck's design. Showing its structure and reinforcements helps to educate the read as to the design strength of the vehicle. This fact cannot be written about in such a way that would make this CAD drawing obsolete. Additionally, these are promotional graphics from Honda and are intended to be shared and helps to illustrate Honda's work. There should be no issue with its use as it is required to illustrate the vehicle's design. --McChizzle (talk) 12:23, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
I visited the link you suggested and I don't see how that helps for I cannot recreate the detailed information that exists in these very complex CAD graphics, particularly the different metal strengths and structures superimposed on an translucent outlines of the vehicle; that's way beyond any of my talents and the talents of my friends. Plus, Honda put these out to be used by the public for educational and advertising purposes (i.e. promotional information) which is allowed on Wikipedia within the context for which they are intended. --McChizzle (talk) 00:30, 13 October 2015 (UTC)
This is just the same thing as a map: you just need to inspect the object, take measurements and make a drawing. Plus, the file violates WP:NFCC#8. --Stefan2 (talk) 21:57, 13 October 2015 (UTC)
I don't have that kind of talent, tools, or the hundreds of hours that it would take to do that for the level of detail in the CAD is far too complex. I looked through the guidelines you site and I see no violation to that policy. What specifically do you believe is wrong with the use of these CAD drawings that Honda makes available for just this type of purpose? --McChizzle (talk) 01:48, 14 October 2015 (UTC)
You don't need to replace the file personally - someone else with the necessary skills could create the replacement. Compare with photos of living people. Normally it would only be practically possible for people who live close to the living person to replace the picture. It is irrelevant for what purposes Honda has made these pictures available; they are nevertheless non-free. --Stefan2 (talk) 10:04, 14 October 2015 (UTC)
